A little twist from the traditional Cranberry sauce by giving a kick in the old flavor

Ingredients

  • 3c Sugar
  • 2c Water
  • 1c Orange Juice
  • 1c Grand Marnier Liqueur
  • 8c Frozen or Fresh Cranberries (clean)
  • 1c Dry currents
  • 2tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 2tsp Orange Zest
  • 2tsp Nutmeg
  • 1tsp Allspice

Procedure

  1. On a pot, Heat up Orange juice and Grand Marnier Liqueur, and reduce to more than half
  2. Add Cold Water, sugar, and stir until sugar is dissolve
  3. Add Cranberries, stir them occasionally to prevent burning in the bottom of the pan, and simmer until cranberries burst open
  4. Add currents and the rest of the ingredients
  5. Mix them together on a low heat for 3 minutes
  6. Remove from the heat and cool it completely at room temperature and than chill in refrigerator.
  7. The sauce will thicken as its cooling down in the refrigerator

Its also great to use as a spread on a Bagel, Bread, and any Savory dishes
